Russel R. Heiser II

President and CEO

Rob Heiser is the CEO and co-founder of Segmint Inc, an innovative financial technology company based in Akron, Ohio.  Segmint empowers financial institutions and financial technology providers to easily understand and leverage data, interact with customers, and measure results. Rob has been awarded 7 U.S. and international patents for Segmint.

Rob is also the founder of WiredViews Inc., a digital marketing agency with clients in several industries including CPG, Manufacturing and Technology. Previously, he was Chief Technology Officer of SupplierInsight, where he led the application and product development of the first commercially available Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) application serving several fortune 500 companies.

Rob was awarded Crain’s Cleveland 40 under 40 and currently serves on the Advisory Board of Kent State University’s LaunchNET entrepreneurship program. Rob holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management and Information Systems from Kent State University.

Greg Gruning

Chief Revenue Officer

Greg Gruning joined Segmint on July 1, 2013. He has assumed the lead role in managing business development, sales and marketing efforts with a primary focus on driving additional revenue through existing client relationships and maximizing revenue opportunities with new clients, partners, and affiliates.

Greg recently served as EVP of Corporate Business Development for INDYCAR. In this position, he was responsible for the management of all aspects of sales and sponsorship for the racing series, including: corporate sales, merchandise and licensing, media, team activation, venue, hospitality, partner strategy and activation. Under Greg's leadership, sales increased from $1.5M to over $30M and partner activation increased from $35M to over $250M. Additionally, Greg INDYCAR accomplishments include a ground breaking association with APEX-Brazil, driving $3B of business-to-business wins within 83 business sectors since 2009, as well as securing IZOD, the INDYCAR Series’ first entitlement partner in more than 10 years. Prior to joining INDYCAR, Greg served as VP of Marketing at NewPage Corp. where he led a team responsible for launching a $2.1B coated-paper company while managing all functions of product, placement, price, and promotion. Greg's extensive career began at Mead where Greg advanced from a regional sales rep to director of Mead’s North American business development.

Gary T. Salhany

CFO and Treasurer

As CFO for Segmint, Gary has assumed responsibilities for financial management of the organization. Gary is also Director of CFO/Controller Services for Cohen & Company, performing services, such as cash management, establishing systems, inventory controls, budgets and forecasts for organizations without internal departments. He also assists CFOs of larger organizations with special projects, including financing, cost reduction and operations.

Gary has served as CFO for a public company and two privately held companies over a 20 year period and successfully started his own business. He has an undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Akron and Masters of Business Administration from Kent State University. He is a member of the Ohio Society of CPAs, the American Institute of CPAs and is a Board Member of the Ohio Venture Association.

Nate Shahan

Chief Operating Officer

Nate Shahan co-founded Segmint in 2007 and is currently serving as Chief Operating Officer. Previously, Nate was COO and Partner for WiredViews Inc., a boutique digital marketing agency that specializes in creating brand lift through inbound marketing and integrated digital communication. He lead and oversaw all development, implementation and maintenance of software applications serviced by WiredViews, Inc. Prior to joining WiredViews, Inc., Nate spent three years designing and developing applications supporting the meeting and convention planning industry for OnVantage, Inc., now known as StarCite, the global leader in meeting management. During his time with OnVantage, Nate headed many implementations of meeting management solutions for Hilton Hotels, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Anheuser-Busch Companies, and others.

Nate's professional history also includes a stint with Harley Davidson Dealer Systems as lead developer of Harley Davidson's in-store vehicle sales and finance module, which was used by over sixty percent of dealer owners worldwide in the late 1990's. He began his career with Xtrasource, Inc. (now Sento) as developer of the company’s CRM desktop application, which served as the primary tool for information management for Xtrasource and its customers worldwide. Before leaving Xtrasource, he became the company’s lead engineer for the application and also served as the primary technical contact for the software. Nate received a B.A. in Business Industrial Management from the University of Akron.
